The United Nations deployment of its global ERP system, known as Umoja, will reach a critical milestone as the system will be fully deployed at HQ, Geneva, Santiago, and more than 60 other locations on 9 November 2015.
This migration will remove any dependencies on our legacy finance and procurement systems, and represents a significant step forward for the Organization as it moves towards a single, holistic ordering system. The migration requires a 3 week blackout of finance systems beginning 15 October 2015, and ending on 7 November 2015.
All vendors are hereby informed that minor delays may occur in finalizing payments and updating of vendor records. Additionally, all vendors are reminded that the United Nations Global Marketplace () is the only vendor portal through which vendors can register with the United Nations, and all vendors are requested to verify the accuracy of their UNGM record. Without being fully registered on UNGM, a vendor may not be awarded new business, and payments may not be processed.
The new ERP system will also result in a new Purchase Order form used by the Organization.
