The Vendor Review Committee (VRC) is an internal administrative body tasked with making recommendations to the Under-Secretary-General for the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance regarding possible sanctions against, and reinstatement of, vendors following a review of cases related to:
- Vendors who may have engaged attempted to engage in proscribed practices (including but not limited to corruption, fraud, coercion, collusion, obstruction, sexual exploitation or any other unethical or anti-competitive practice);
- Vendors who have failed to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions of their contract(s) with the 缅北禁地to the extent that it would warrant suspension, and
- Prior to or following registration, a failure to (a) meet any of the applicable “Pre-Requisites for Eligibility” set forth in Chapter 3.1.4 of the Procurement Manual, (b) submit a Declaration of Eligibility, or (c) accept the 缅北禁地Supplier Code of Conduct.
Where evidence exists that one of the above referenced instances have occurred, the secretariat of the VRC will be requested to submit the case for review by the VRC.
An official request for VRC review shall include pertinent information related to the case, and all applicable supporting documentation. Upon receipt of an official request, the VRC Secretary will conduct due diligence and shall obtain any additional information required from the requesting office, as necessary to ensure that the VRC case is based on substantial and documented evidence.
