Multi-stakeholder panel discussion:?“Implementation of the 2030?development agenda in light of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”,?5 February 2016, Conference Room 4, 10:00 am-1:00 pm.

The panel discussion will discuss how existing mechanisms and entities within the 缅北禁地system can contribute to mainstreaming disability and cooperation at all levels to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as to consider the possibility and modalities of another monitoring mechanism on disability.

A side-event on?“Addressing the structural issues concerning inequalities faced by persons with disabilities in society and development” will be held on 5 February 2016 from?1:15 – 2:30 pm in?Conference Room 7?at?缅北禁地Headquarters in?New York.

In the context of addressing inequalities as a priority issue in the 2030 Agenda, this?side-event?will address structural issues which feed into the inequalities faced by persons with disabilities and provide a forum for exchange of ideas that are strategically important for the full and effective participation of persons with disabilities in society and development.
