As mortality levels continue to decrease in most countries of the world, deaths become increasingly concentrated at older ages and it becomes more pressing to estimate mortality in adult ages with accuracy. In addition, as the AIDS epidemic continues to expand, accounting for its effect on adult mortality is essential. These are some of the issues discussed by the Expert Group Meeting, as reflected in this report.</p> <h3>Documents</h3> <ul> <li><a href="/development/desa/pd/sites/www.un.org.development.desa.pd/files/undesa_pd-egm-2006-list_of_participants.pdf">Participants list</a></li> <li><a href="/development/desa/pd/sites/www.un.org.development.desa.pd/files/undesa_pd-2006_egm-organization_of_work.pdf">Organization of work</a></li> <li><a href="/development/desa/pd/sites/www.un.org.development.desa.pd/files/unpd-egm-200610-report.pdf">Report</a></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Organization of work</h3> <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" style="width: 100%;"> <tbody> <tr> <td colspan="2" style="width: 15%; background-color: gold;"> <p><strong>Thursday, 26 October 2006</strong></p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 15%; vertical-align: top;"> <p><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Calibri&quot;,sans-serif">13:30-17:30</span></span></span></p> </td> <td> <p><strong>Afternoon session</strong></p> <p><strong>I.
