TENNIS TOURNAMENT (regulations)
(April 21st, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
Players:
? Open to diplomats and representatives of diplomatic missions and the United Nations agencies, as well as their family members.
? Registration deadline: April 14th.
Format:
? Single-elimination tournament divided into 2 round robin groups.
? Each group will play on one court.
? Top player from each group advances to the semifinals.
? Semifinals and finals will be played on a single court.
Matches:
? All matches will be played on April 21st.
? Group stage matches are one set to 8 games, with a no-ad scoring system.
? Semifinal and final matches are best of 3 sets, with a tiebreak at 6-6 in each set.
Schedule:
? Group stage matches (1:00 PM - 3:30 PM) ? Semifinals, Finals (3:30 PM - 5:00 PM) 5. Sportsmanship:
? All participants are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship on and off the court.
? Umpires' decisions are final.
Additional Information:
? Tournament balls will be provided.
? Players are responsible for providing their own equipment.
? Awards will be presented to the finalists.
