At the 10th meeting, on 19 October, the representative of Italy, also on behalf of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, introduced a draft resolution entitled “Observer status for the Italian-Latin American Institute in the General Assembly” (). At its 13th meeting, on 23 October, the Committee adopted draft resolution A/C.6/62/L.5 without a vote.
