Shikha Garg, Project Associate, UNDP
Ms. Shikha Garg (1986-2019), joined the as a Project Associate under the Energy and Environment unit in 2013.
Between 2013 and 2017, she supported the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India on climate change adaptation and mitigation policies/measures at the state and national level. She was responsible for coordinating the progress of the national missions under the National Action Plan on Climate Change for the Prime Minister Council on Climate Change. She also supported the Ministry in developing India’s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions under UNFCCC.
From 2017 – till recently, she worked with the International Cooperation Division as a Consultant – Sustainable Development Goals at the Ministry. She was instrumental in finalising indicators for the SDGs. More specifically working on matters pertaining to resource efficiency contributing to SDG 12.
With over 8 years of work experience in the environment and climate change sector, Ms. Garg has worked with consultancies, multilateral agencies such as IRADE and WWF, and the Government of India.
She is survived by her husband, who works with the 缅北禁地Environment in New Delhi.
