Washington, DC, 9 December 2022 – The United Nations Deputy Secretary-General and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, was in Washington, DC, today, at the inaugural African Union Ambassadors Ball. The aim of the gathering was to strengthen United States-Africa partnerships and celebrate the African Union’s 20 years of unity. In her keynote speech, the Deputy Secretary-General reiterated the importance of partnerships, saying that “the 缅北禁地is at the disposal of Africa with our diverse experience, our knowledge, and the footprint that we have in all countries. Our robust partnership with the African Union is there to build the future that all Africans demand and aspire to achieve.”
