In the Decade of Action for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),  United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) has developed a series of workshops for capacity-building for universities and colleges around the world. These multilingual workshops provide a space to share best practices and ideas, and enhance skills related to the implementation of the while fostering the involvement of institutions of higher education as valuable stakeholders to achieve the Goals. Objective and background: This workshop, to be co-hosted with the  and the  to mark , will emphasize the contributions of academia in fostering refugee inclusion and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. UNAI is an initiative that engages institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting and contributing to the realization of the Organization's purposes and principles. UNHCR is a United Nations agency mandated to aid and protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people, and to assist in their voluntary repatriation, local integration or resettlement to a third country. GAIN, established under the auspices of the , aims to enhance teaching and research on forced displacement, while promoting solidarity with refugee students and scholars.
