Lieutenant Esinam Dami Baah is determined to make a difference as a woman, using the trust she is able to build thanks to her gender to foster progress for families and communities in Lebanon. Honing her skills in order to cope with daily dangers, Lt. Baah leads both men and women in an Engagement Platoon, where she must bridge cultural divides and forge bonds based on common humanity thousands of miles from home.
Along the way, she challenges old stereotypes and discovers new friendships, giving all she can to security in Lebanon while gaining personal enrichment as a fighter for peace.
