Tharanya Arumugam is a journalist with the New Straits Times in Malaysia. She specializes in journalism focusing on public health, women’s issues, the environment, and climate issues that have influenced policy decisions. She holds a journalism degree from the University of South Australia and an international relations masters from the University of Bristol. During the fellowship, she will focus on global climate action and sustainable development, looking at best practices in mitigating and adapting to climate change.
