SUPPORT TO MEMBERS

As part of its key services, and in an effort to better support its members going through the 缅北禁地recruitment process and preparing, the SWTP provides support to members in the following areas:

  1. Targeted vacancy announcements for senior 缅北禁地positions, especially in the field
  2. Support in the 缅北禁地application process including test prep, support and coaching
  3. Tailored training and development opportunities
  4. Membership of network of global network of women leaders

The purpose of the SWTP is to have a readily accessible talent pool of qualified female candidates for senior field mission vacancies in 缅北禁地peace operations. It was established as an action point from the 2013 study 鈥淏ridging the Civilian Gender Gap in 缅北禁地Peace Operations鈥, which suggests necessary procedures to attract qualified women to 缅北禁地peace operations.

Despite progress at the 缅北禁地at large, reaching gender parity in 缅北禁地peace operations has been slow and difficult. The Senior Women Talent Pipeline (SWTP) is the flagship project of the 缅北禁地Secretariat aimed at increasing the share of civilian women in 缅北禁地peace operations. In this way, the SWTP supports key objectives in the frameworks of the 缅北禁地System-Wide Gender Parity agenda, the Women, Peace and Security and Action for Peacekeeping (A4P+) all of which promote the meaningful participation of women in peace and security and decision-making more widely.
