Manav Subodh

Manav Subodh is a social entrepreneur and senior fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. His organization, ‘1 Million for 1 Billion’ (1M1B) has produced and delivered 50,000+ PPEs during the Covid-19 lockdown in India. He transformed a modest under-utilized tailoring center in Lakkavaram village in Andhra Pradesh into a PPE manufacturing unit. This helped around 240 women who were reeling in poverty to bounce back.  

Manav has previously worked in the corporate sector with companies like Intel, Hughes and QAI. He has also served as a member of the National Advisory on Innovation, Incubation and Technology Entrepreneurship of the Government of India and was a Senior Advisor to Ernst & Young (EY) for the State Government of Chhattisgarh’s Policy formation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Manav’s passion for youth empowerment has led him to conduct youth leadership workshops in over 7 countries and he now convenes an annual 1M1B Activate Impact summit at the United Nations headquarters, New York. He has also been recognised by Forbes, BBC, Yahoo, Entrepreneur, Apolitical, TEDx, among others.

 

 

Victoria Edmonds

Victoria Edmonds currently serves as a Representative for the Salvation Army to the United Nations, an organization which operates in 131 nations. Victoria has previously served as a Salvation Army Officer/Minister for 37 years and in the United States Navy for ten years before becoming a Salvation Army Officer.  

Victoria is of Native American heritage of the Tuscarora Nation. She has worked in many countries around the world on behalf of the Salvation Army in different administrative and leadership positions. She holds a degree in Library Science, and Organizational Management and a Masters in Intercultural Studies and International Affairs.

 

 

Edwin Vallecillo

Dr. Vallecillo currently works as Director of Medical Services for NPH International, an international organization that operates in nine different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. His fundamental role is to supervise and implement the health policies created by NPH for all its operational programs. Dr. Vallecillo is a medical doctor who focuses on preventive and family medicine. He is from Honduras, Central America, where he currently lives and works. Dr. Vallecillo has more than eight years of experience working in healthcare, with a special emphasis on healthcare for vulnerable populations and children and adolescents in Latin America.

 

 

Muzaffer Baca

Mr. Baca is the Vice President of International Blue Crescent (IBC), a humanitarian NGO operating in the Middle East, Caucasus, Balkans and Horn of Africa on emergency, capacity building and community investment since its establishment in 1999.

In addition to that, he is a lecturer in News Sociology and News Research and Analysis at Istanbul Ayd?n University and the General Secretary of Eurasian Universities Union.  He is the current board member of Turkish Refugee Council and has been a former board member of the International Council of Volunteer Agencies (ICVA) Geneva. Mr. Baca is a distinguished journalist and a former chief correspondent at the Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) and program producer at CNN International.

 

 

Bimpe Bamgbose-Martins

Bimpe Bamgbose-Martins founded the Strategy for Mentoring Initiative and Leadership Empowerment (S.M.I.L.E) in Nigeria in 2011 and in the United States in 2017 to equip the youth, particularly the underprivileged, with leadership skills, knowledge, and personal development. 
Bimpe is an alumnus of John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, USA.
She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), UK and a member of the Board of Trustees at the International Third World Leaders Association. She also sits on the Board of various non-profit organizations.
