  • Postponement Announcement: Third 缅北禁地Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3)

    The United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States (UNOHRLLS) would like to announce the postponement of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), that was scheduled to be held in Gaborone, Botswana, from 10 to 13 December 2024.

    UNOHRLLS, in its capacity as the Office of the Secretary-General of the Conference, is currently working on alternative arrangements and will share further details on the convening of LLDC3, including new dates and organizational updates.

  • Status of Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems in the Least Developed Countries 2024

    On September 26, OHRLLS launched the report titled "Status of Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems in Least Developed Countries," developed in cooperation with UNDRR and WMO.

    The study was prepared drawing on available data, consultations with least developed countries and development partners, the full United Nations development system, as well as the institutions supporting the Secretary-General’s Early Warnings for All Initiative.

The United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) supports groups of vulnerable countries in the United Nations system. The 45 Least Developed Countries, 32 Landlocked Developing Countries and 39 Small Island Developing States have their own special challenges.
