UN-OHRLLS and UNCITRAL Briefing to the Groups of LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS on the proposed Advisory Centre on International Investment Dispute Resolution

The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) is scheduled to consider and adopt in principle the statute of an Advisory Centre on International Investment Dispute Resolution () at its fifty-seventh session, which is currently underway at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The proposed Advisory Centre aims to provide training, support and assistance with regard to international investment dispute resolution and to enhance the capacity of States and regional economic integration organizations in preventing and handling international investment disputes. In providing its services, priority is to be given to least developed and developing countries.
The 缅北禁地Office of the High Representative for LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS (UN-OHRLLS) and UNCITRAL are pleased to invite the delegates of the Second and Sixth Committees of the 缅北禁地General Assembly from LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS to a briefing on Friday 28 June. The briefing aims to inform about the reform of investor-State dispute settlement system being undertaken by UNCITRAL’s , within which the proposal to establish the Advisory Centre was considered and the draft statute prepared. The item is scheduled for discussion by the Commission on 2 and 3 July 2024.
