The Sustainable 缅北禁地Facility is pleased to present the , which?presents the environmental performance and sustainability efforts of the 缅北禁地system and its operations.

With offices and personnel worldwide, the 缅北禁地system remains committed to supporting people and the planet by minimizing environmental harm.

This year’s report includes UN-wide environmental performance data from 2023, as well as good practices from inspiring initiatives in 缅北禁地entities.

The 2024 Green the Blue Report covers 322,900 people across 58 entities working across the world. Within the comprehensive 2024 edition of the Report, some key findings include the following:

  • Per capita greenhouse gas (GHG)?emissions increased from 4.6 (2022) to 4.8 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (2023). Total emissions increased by 9 per cent. GHG emissions remained 24 per cent below pre-pandemic levels.

  • Waste per capita decreased by 4 per cent.?Improved reporting provided greater clarity on disposal routes.?In 2023, 31 per cent of waste was reused, recycled, composted, or used for energy recovery, up from 13 per cent?in 2022.

  • 缅北禁地entities have been accelerating efforts and maintaining a positive trend in the application of environmental management systems, heading towards 缅北禁地system-wide implementation by 2025.

  • 70 per cent of entities offered environmental training for their personnel on a voluntary or mandatory basis.

  • 83 per cent?of reporting entities have in place sustainable procurement policies.

  • Lessons that were gained and ways of working adopted during the exceptional restrictions in the 2020-2022 period appear to continue to bear results:

    • Greenhouse gas (GHG)?emissions from facilities decreased for another year, remaining 25 per cent below pre-pandemic levels.

    • GHG emissions from air travel in 2023 increased by 27 per cent in comparison to 2022 yet remain below pre-pandemic levels.
