Humayoon Babur is a journalist from Afghanistan working for the Pasbanan Media Group. He is also a freelance journalist in Kabul, contributing to various media outlets. He obtained a master's degree in international development cooperation from Yeungnam University, Republic of Korea. Humayoon writes about a range of topics in his war-torn country, from combat to car bombs, human rights, gender-based violence, SDGs, climate change, social development, corruption, and foreign aid. He writes in many languages, including Pashtu, Dari, and English. He has reported extensively on environmental issues, including recent stories on groundwater contamination and disputes over water in the region, particularly with Pakistan and Iran.
