This session will build support for the trade High Impact Initiative, including through building commitments for forward, regular, sufficient and predictable financing. Additionally, the session will sensitize member states and development partners to the change in narrative needed for development policy formulation and gain buy in and support for this shift.

Background
International trade has been an engine for development for decades. However, trade has not been inclusive and has contributed to increased inequalities between and within countries. A shift is needed to make sure that the benefits from international trade become inclusive. This initiative aims to aims to enable governments to achieve structural economic transformation with inclusive growth and sustainable development.
