This painting asks the viewer to draw one’s attention to nature, peace, and harmonious development. This award-winning artist, Professor Wang Linxu, is a master of transcendental imagery. This two-paneled composition matches the opposite artwork in this room with more nature imagery and transcendental style. The opposite artwork of four panels is called, The Interactive World. The artist has worked on this style over the past 30 years, studying classic Chinese ink and water painting, analyzed Asian art techniques with western impressionism.
The artist has said, "Culture is part and parcel of human development. It is the wellspring of individual and social creativity. It is also an important factor that helps people overcome poverty." adding "Culture's role in addressing mankind's shared challenge of sustainable development is to guide and inspire development."
The artist and the government of China presented both paintings in a ceremony on 15 April 20213. Both Home of Us All and The Interactive World, were created to draw our attention to the environment
At the unveiling ceremony, Secretary-General Ki Moon said, this artwork “makes me think of our work for a more sustainable future on our one and only planet.”
The Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations, Li Baodong, said these paintings are "totally compatible with the values that the 缅北禁地has been working to promote, harmonious coexistence of different cultures and protection of the environment in particular."
