Description
This project aims to build on the accomplishments of the first HLAB and establish a second term for the High-level Advisory Board on Economic and Social Affairs (HLAB-II) to carry on and advance its important work. The project will support the General Assembly Declaration on the commemoration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations (A/RES/75/1), which requested the Secretary-General to articulate recommendations to advance the common agenda and to respond to current and future challenges in the post-COVID-19 world, including in the areas of leaving no one behind, building trust by addressing inequalities, improve digital cooperation, ensuring sustainable financing and boosting partnerships. UNDESA through the project will also ensure stronger linkages with the global economic and social policy research community, and increase the impact of UNDESA analyses and recommendations at national, regional and global levels.
