缅北禁地DESA - Annual Highlights report 2023-24
The report covers activities delivered by the 缅北禁地DESA across three key pillars of work – intergovernmental support, analysis, and capacity-building, over the period of the 78th Session of the General Assembly (September 2023 – August 2024). It showcases how the Department put its expertise to the task of supporting Member State efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda amidst multiple, intertwined, compounding crises, building their capacities to respond effectively and shape a transformative recovery that builds their resilience for the future.
The current report offers a comprehensive overview of the progress in implementation of Youth2030. By comparing baseline data from UNCTs (2020) and 缅北禁地entities (2021) with the latest reported data in 2023, the report shows the strides made by the 缅北禁地system in advancing global youth commitments and youth focus in 缅北禁地strategic planning processes.
This report presents key data and information on migration as well as thematic chapters on highly topical migration issues, and is structured to focus on two key contributions for readers: Part I: key information on migration and migrants (including migration-related statistics); and Part II: balanced, evidence-based analysis of complex and emerging migration issues
