?Mr. Maher Nasser is the Director of the Outreach Division in the 缅北禁地Department of Public Information in New York. Mr. Nasser has over 27 years of work experience in the United Nations System during which he has worked in various capacities. He became Director of DPI’s Outreach Division in February 2011. From April to mid-August 2012 and from August 2014 to February 2015, Mr. Nasser was Acting Head of the United Nations Department of Public Information. Mr. Nasser first joined DPI in January 2006 as Director of the 缅北禁地Information Centre in Cairo. Before joining DPI, Mr. Nasser worked in various positions with the 缅北禁地Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Gaza, Jerusalem, Vienna, Amman and New York and with the UNODC in Vienna.

?Mr. Craig Mokhiber is Director of the New York Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). ?A lawyer and specialist in international human rights law, policy and methodology, he has served the 缅北禁地since January of 1992. As Chief of the Human Rights and Development Team in the 1990s, Mokhiber led the development of OHCHR's original work on human rights-based approaches to development and human rights-sensitive definitions of poverty. He represented OHCHR in mainstreaming efforts at 缅北禁地Headquarters in New York through the early 2000's, throughout the UN's human rights reform process, including in the lead up to the World Summit, and in the process leading to the establishment of the Human Rights Council. He has also served as the UN's Senior Human Rights Advisor in both Palestine, and in Afghanistan,?led the team of human rights specialists attached to the High Level Mission on Darfur, headed the Rule of Law and Democracy Unit, and served as Chief of the Economic and Social Issues Section, and Chief of the Development and Economic and Social Issues Branch at OHCHR Headquarters.? His fieldwork includes dozens of human rights missions in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

?Ms. Nikki Siahpoush is currently a political officer in the Policy and Mediation Division of the 缅北禁地Department of Political Affairs (DPA) in New York where, since November 2015, she has provided policy advice on a range of cross-cutting peace and security matters, including conflict prevention and conflict resolution, early warning and atrocity prevention. Previously, Nikki served for a year as a political officer with the Office of the Special Adviser of the Secretary-General on Myanmar analysing and providing advice related to the peace process and the communal tensions in Myanmar. Prior to that, Nikki worked with DPA’s Mediation Support Unit (2013-2014) focusing on reconciliation and dialogue processes in the Middle East, Central- and South Asia, as well as DPA’s Syria Team covering the conflict in Syria and providing support to the Office of the Special Envoy on Syria (2012-2013). Before joining DPA, Nikki was a human rights adviser with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva (2010-2012), where she focused on the human rights situations in Palestine and Syria, as well as Amnesty International Secretariat in London (2009).

?Ms. Taija Kontinen-Sharp is a Senior Strategic Planning Officer in the Executive Office of the Secretary General. For the last 15 years, she has worked as a development specialist in crisis and post-crisis contexts, focusing on post-conflict and peace building programming, as well as, emergency response and recovery. She has served in a variety of roles with multiple 缅北禁地agencies, NGOs and the Finnish government across a span of different country situations - including Afghanistan, Lebanon, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Yemen and Nepal. Prior to taking on her current position, Taija was the humanitarian policy lead for UNDP.

?Mr. Matthias Klettermayer is a Public Information Officer in the Division for Sustainable Development, 缅北禁地Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). Matthias Klettermayer is Public Information Officer and focal point for communication and outreach in the Division for Sustainable Development, which is part of the 缅北禁地Department of Economic and Social Affairs.??He regularly gives briefings on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has given a TEDxTalk on the SDGs. Mr. Klettermayer is also involved in social media campaigns, press events and the production of promotional videos and news pieces that seek to increase understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and their implementation. He studied Communications Science and International Policy Analysis and the University of Vienna and Staffordshire University.
