Ms. Reena Ghelani

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced on 29 November 2022 the appointment of Reena Ghelani of Australia as United Nations Famine Prevention and Response Coordinator.

Reena Ghelani brings to this position 25 years of experience in international affairs and humanitarian action, having worked in dozens of crisis-affected countries around the world.

Prior to taking on this role, Ms. Ghelani was the Director of Operations and Advocacy for the 缅北禁地Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (), where she oversaw the management of the department’s global field operations.
