Time limits: The Appeals Tribunal has stated in a number of cases that time limits, including those pertaining to management evaluation requests, are to be enforced strictly (Mezoui 2010-UNAT-043). Management evaluation: Dispute Tribunal generally “has no jurisdiction to waive deadlines for management evaluation (Ajdini 2011-UNAT-108). Ignorance of law: Staff members are presumed to know the Staff Rules, particularly those pertaining to their basic rights, such as the right of appeal.
