Summary
The United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa (OSAA), in collaboration with the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the African Union Commission (AU), will host a dynamic panel discussion at the 10th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development.
Following the publishing of OSAA’s 2023 flagship report launch on "Solving Paradoxes of Africa’s Development: Financing, Energy, and Food Systems," with the participation of key stakeholders from 缅北禁地Member States, 缅北禁地entities, development partners, and civil society organizations, the panel discussion is the next milestone.
This panel discussion will delve into one of the pivotal themes from our report. It's an unparalleled opportunity to disseminate the report's groundbreaking findings, fuel the dialogue, and collaborate with African ministers and policymakers on crafting effective strategies.
Given that many of the solutions outlined intersect with the realm of technical experts preparing the Voluntary National Reviews (VNR) & Voluntary Local Reviews (VLR), we see this discussion as a catalyst for advancing SDG 17 and catalyzing policy interventions proposed in the report.
The nexus approach advocated in the report aligns seamlessly with the ARFSD's overarching theme: "Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Agenda 2063 and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient, and innovative solutions."
