The guests at the Noon Briefing will be Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, 缅北禁地Women Deputy Executive Director; along with Delphine Schantz, Director of the 缅北禁地Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) New York Office; and Kalliopi Mingeirou, Chief of the Ending Violence against Women Section, 缅北禁地Women. They will brief reporters on the International Day of Ending Violence Against Women and present the report: Femicides in 2023: Global estimates of intimate partner/family member femicides.

At 3:00 p.m., in Conference Room 1, there will be an informal briefing for stakeholders on the preparatory process leading to the 鈥淲orld Social Summit鈥 in 2025, under the title 鈥渢he Second World Summit for Social Development鈥 (co-organized by the Permanent Missions of Belgium and Morocco).

From 25 November to 1 December 2024 at the BEXCO center in Busan, Republic of Korea, delegates will meet for the fifth and final session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment. Today is World Sustainable Transport Day.

At 9:30 a.m., a virtual Multi-stakeholder Webinar on the 缅北禁地Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026 - 2035) will be organized by the 缅北禁地Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). The webinar will feature speakers from the 缅北禁地system, the Office of the President of the General Assembly, NGOs, philanthropy and local governments.
