131. Financing of the International Tribunal for the Prosecution of Persons Responsible for Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law Committed in the Territory of the Former Yugoslavia since 1991

This item was included in the agenda of the forty-seventh session of the General Assembly, in 1993, on the proposal of the Secretary-General (). At that session, the Assembly adopted resolution .

At its forty-eighth to sixty-first sessions, the General Assembly continued its consideration of the item (resolutions , & , , & , & , , , & , & , , , & , , , , , , & & decisions 48/461, 49/471 A & B, 55/477, 60/560, 61/242, 61/262 & 61/274).

At its sixty-second session, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to include information on specific parameters of the management of the funds to be appropriated to meet future requirements for pension benefits of the judges of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and eligible beneficiaries in the context of the first performance report for the biennium 2008-2009; and decided to revert to the issue of funding of the pension-related liabilities of the International Tribunal at its sixty-fourth session (resolution , sect. II).

At its resumed sixty-second session, in April 2008, under item 126, the General Assembly decided to defer until its sixty-third session consideration of a report of the Secretary-General (), the report of the International Civil Service Commission for 2007 ( & ) and a report of the Advisory Committee () (decision 62/545 B).
