Staff members are expected to uphold the highest standards of efficiency, competence and integrity. The concept of integrity includes, but is not limited to, probity, impartiality, fairness, honesty and truthfulness in all matters affecting their work and status.

Staff members are responsible for providing the Secretary-General with relevant information, as required, both during the application process and on subsequent employment, for the purpose of determining their status under the Staff Regulations and Rules and for the purpose of fulfilling the administrative arrangements related to their employment. Staff members are held personally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information they provide.
