Ray is a Tanzanian professional with over 9 years of experience in youth development space, conservation, and climate action. Currently serving as the Head of Programmes at the Pan African Youth Union's Office of the Secretary-General, which is an apex agency for youth of the African Union federating article 12 youth institutions across Africa mandated by heads of states.

He is a member of the Finance & Markets Work Group which is a specialized arm on climate change, climate finance & markets and youth nexus of the UNFCCC Youth Constituency. He also Coordinates the Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots youth environmental education and humanitarian program across Africa and a technical lead at Tanzania's youth Think Tank.
