Ropafadzo Sandra Shoko, the "StartUpBae," is a lawyer, listed as one of the remarkable 100 female lawyers in Africa for the Courtroom Mail 100 Women 2024.

She is invested in pursuing Africa's industrialization through the growth of start-ups. Ropafadzo is currently affiliated as the team lead for Elevate Trust, a local Zimbabwean organization driving STEM education, innovation and enterprising. She primarily works with tech and innovation as the legal and incubation manager working closely with students, young entrepreneurs and innovators to transform their ideas into profitable ventures. Her role extends to establishing a Buy-Zimbabwe Youth and SME desk, fostering private-public partnerships, and offering continuous training for operational SMEs. She is developing the first Zimbabwean StartUp database in pursuit of building a supportive ecosystem for SMEs.

Her work has been recognized by being awarded the 2022 Enterpreneur of the Year by Ignite Youth and recently she has been appointed as a board member of the World Bank Solutions for Youth Employment Advisory Board. Ropafadzo is pursuing a LLM Law and Business in Africa at the University of Capetown. She has also been invited to join the AfriLabs Delegation to Represent the African Technology and Innovation Ecosystem to Saudi Arabia.
