Tolulope Anthony Adekola

adekola_0.jpgDr. Tolulope Anthony Adekola is a trade and intellectual property (IP) law expert. His research interests are in IP law and innovation policy and how these fields interface with key policy areas, including sustainable development, science and technology and public health.

He has published extensively in highly ranked refereed international journals such as the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property (Edward Elgar Publishing), Globalization and Health (Springer Nature), GRUR International (Oxford University Press), Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice (Oxford University Press), Asian Journal of WTO and International Health Law & Policy, Journal of International Trade Law and Policy etc. He has gained valuable experience as a funded scholar at the prestigious Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition Law, Germany and has also won different grants and awards from the City University of Hong Kong and the World Intellectual Property Organization, amongst others.

He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His PhD research was jointly funded by the City University of Hong Kong and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, Munich, Germany. He works as a Research Fellow at the School of Law, University of Queensland, Australia. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with over ten years of experience as a practising lawyer and law academic.
