Ãå±±½ûµØWomen's Handbook for legislation on violence against women has been made available online, along with an accompanying powerpoint presentation, and a video dialogue between P. Imrana Jalal and Cheryl Thomas (respectively the Chairperson and Rapporteur of the on good practices in legislation to address violence against women held in May 2008) highlighting key points from the model framework for legislation on violence against women.

5 March 2009: the Secretary-General's database on violence against women was launched at United Nations Headquarters New York by Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro.

4 March 2009: the Commission on the Status of Women and the Commission on Criminal Justice and Crime Prevention convened a joint dialogue on addressing violence against women through legal reform. Introductory remarks were made by Deputy Secretary-General, Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro
