With regard to peacekeeping mission assignments, the Department for Peacekeeping Operations is committed to increasing the number of women working in peacekeeping missions, particularly at the senior and managerial levels. Striving to redress the current imbalance, the Department is looking at expanding its recruitment sources and at developing its gender network. All vacancies are advertised on the Galaxy system.
