3. Ensure the filing is within the maximum page and word limits set forth below;
4. Ensure the filing complies with the format and language requirements set forth below;
5. Create or log in to your e-filing portal account;
6. Submit the filing.

SPECIFIC FORMAT AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
LANGUAGE
English and French are the working languages of UNAT. However, submissions may be filed in any of the six official languages of the United Nations, Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. If filed in any language other than English, submissions must be submitted in Word for use by translation unit.
PAPER SIZE
All filings must be on US letter or A4 paper.
MARGINS
At least one inch on all four sides.
FONT
12 point with 1.5 line spacing.
FOOTNOTES
10 point with single line spacing.
ANNEXES
A copy of any document or source referred to or relied upon in a submission must be attached as an annex (numbered in sequential Arabic numerals e.g. Annex 1, Annex 2, etc). “Document and source” includes but is not limited to internal rules, regulations, and other administrative issuances cited as well as judgment issued by a tribunal (other than UNDT or UNAT). Annexes should only contain copies of original documentation (letters, correspondence etc.) and not additional submissions. For more information see .
SIGNATURE
Parties must sign all their filings. Filings that do not comply with the prescribed format may be returned to the filing party.
FILING YOUR SUBMISSION:
Appeals and all related filings should be submitted through the e-filing portal. The e-filing system will subsequently allow parties to receive notifications by e-mail and have easy access to the case file. Only if a party is unable to make a filing through the e-filing portal, it may file its submissions with the Registry by e-mail (e-mail address: UNAT1@un.org) or by hand, post, pouch, or other means.
