Sixteenth St. Jerome Translation Contest
The judges of the Sixteenth St. Jerome Translation Contest have now completed their assessment of the entries received. The results will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held on 4 October 2023, at 3 p.m. (CET), at the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV).
The ceremony coincides with the commemoration of International Translation Day. It will start with welcoming remarks by the Director-General of UNOV and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Ms. Ghada Waly, followed by a message from the Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly and Conference Management, Mr. Movses Abelian, via teleconference. In addition, the judges for the six official languages and German will share their impressions of the translations.
