This second and resumed part of the COP15 meetings are expected to address the remaining agenda items, including the finalization and adoption of the post 2020 global biodiversity framework. The Secretariat will keep Parties and the public updated of any changes and adjustments to the schedule.
Fifth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-5)
The Fifth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly's team for 2022 is Strengthening Actions for Nature to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It calls for strengthened action to protect and restore nature and the nature-based solutions to achieve the SDGs in its three complementary dimensions (social, economic and environmental). UNEA-5 provides Member States and stakeholders with a platform for sharing and implementing successful approaches that contribute to the achievement of the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, including the goals related to the eradication of poverty and sustainable patterns of consumption and production.

IFAD Governing Council

The twenty-sixth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 26) to the UNFCCC will be hosted by the United Kingdom, in partnership with Italy. Finance in Common Summit (FiCS) - Second edition
The time for action is now. We need to reiterate and reinforce commitments in support of common actions for climate and sustainable development. The second edition of the FiCS will provide an opportunity to emphasize the role of Public Development Banks in reconciling short-term response to the pandemic with longer-term measures for economic recovery, engaging the development finance community in mobilizing financial resources towards the implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Committee on World Food Security (CFS 49) - Making a Difference in Food Security and Nutrition
The 49th Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) theme is Making a Difference in Food Security and Nutrition. It will be held virtually from 11 to 14 October 2021, shortly after the United Nations Food Systems Summit. CFS 49 will focus on the 2021 State of Food Security and Nutrition report, uptake of the CFS Voluntary Guidelines on Food Systems and Nutrition, CFS Mutli-Year Programme of Work and other ongoing CFS workstreams and priorities. Ãå±±½ûµØBiodiversity Conference - Part One
This first part of COP15 will include the opening of the Meetings and will address agenda items that have been identified as essential for the continuation of the operations of the Convention and the Protocols by the Bureau. This will include meetings about administrative matters and technical issues related to CBD programmes. There will also be a high-level segment on 12 and 13 October 2021.
The second part of COP15 will be face-to-face meetings in Kunming, China from 25 April to 8 May 2022.
Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund
The 2021 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund will take place from Monday, October 11, through Sunday, October 17. Each September or October, the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the IMF hold joint Annual Meetings to discuss a range of issues in support of member countries. In alignment with the core principles of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and the strategic framework of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, the youth-led World Food Forum (WFF) engages and empowers youth to find innovative and actionable solutions that can create more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agri-food systems for all. The WFF flagship event is set to launch 1-5 October 2021 to drive awareness, foster engagement and advocacy, and mobilize resources in support of agri-food systems transformation through youth-led action.
