There are also procedures for assessing non-member States.
Regular budget
By its resolution of 24 December 2021, the General Assembly adopted the scale of assessments for the contributions of Member States to the regular budget of the United Nations for 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Peacekeeping operations
By its resolution , the General Assembly decided that from July 2001,
“the rates of assessment for peacekeeping operations should be based on the scale of assessments for the regular budget of the United Nations, with an appropriate and transparent system of adjustments based on levels of Member States”.
The composition of levels of contribution for peacekeeping operations was changed for the period 2022 to 2024 as contained in the addendum to the report of the Secretary-General (, annex), and adopted by the Assembly in its resolution of 24 December 2021.
