Mr. Juan Santander

Juan Santander assumed the role of Deputy Director of the Public Partnership Division at UNICEF’s headquarters in New York in April 2024. Prior to this, he was appointed UNICEF’s Representative to Montenegro by UNICEF’s Executive Director, Henrietta Fore. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Deputy Representative for UNICEF in Thailand and Venezuela. His career at UNICEF includes notable positions such as Chief of Social Policy, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation in Lebanon, Chief of Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation in Yemen, and Knowledge Management Specialist in Iraq. Before his tenure at UNICEF, Santander worked for the United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq and UNDP in Iraq.
