Excellencies, we have a real pleasure, a great honor and a deep commitment for the future of education in our continent. I applaud this high level panel and this series of discussions conducted under the theme of education through science, technology and innovation for the Africa we want. This theme in line with that chosen by the African Union this year to meet the aspiration of agenda 2063 is of crucial importance for Africa. We have the unique opportunity to examine the importance of investments in research, science and innovation to meet the educational challenges of sustainable development in Africa and the opportunities they offer. The discussions also highlighted the necessary work of the continental strategy for Africa, as well as Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG four and six, highlighting youth and women. During the different sub themes we explored how SDI can act as an essential multiplier in this realization and studied the value of links between education and employment, digital transformation education is in that area affected by crisis. The first subfield analyzed the relationship.
