Week 2 | Day Three — 15 May
The second international webinar at the Africa Dialogue Series 2024 will focus on continues on "Transforming Education in Africa by Leveraging Innovative Finance and the Digital Revolution," with the exchanges pegged to a policy brief of the same title that is co-authored by the African Union Commission (AUC), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the World Bank Group. UNECA Executive Secretary Claver Gatete, Doreen Bogdan-Martin, ITU's Secretary-General and Luis Benveniste, Global Director for Education at the World Bank Group will deliver opening remarks.
A panel discussion will follow, which is expected to include the participation of government ministers from Africa and senior representatives from the public and private sector. The exchanges also include an interactive segment with the participation of the audience.
