Sending a Message to COP 29: DMU Organizes Second Big River Clean-up
Joining with its local authority, Leicester City Council, and waterways charity the Canal and River Trust, UNAI member and SDG Hub 16 is organizing its second annual river clean-up on Wednesday, 13 November, as world leaders gather to discuss climate action at COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. DMU encourages universities around the world to get involved in the project and take action on the same day.
INSEAD's Renewed MBA Curriculum for Social and Environmental Impact
In recent years, UNAI member institution has progressively incorporated sustainability topics into its MBA core courses, and this process is now complete. By embedding sustainability into all 14 core courses and introducing a mandatory 3-day real-life business simulation capstone, the offers a high-impact environment to facilitate discussions and cultivate responsible leaders, the refreshed curriculum first rolled out in January 2024.

Texila American University Boosts Community Health with Blood Drives
Texila American University (TAU) has emerged as a leading force in promoting community welfare in Guyana through its proactive blood donation drives. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, TAU has been dedicated to addressing the pressing need for blood in the region, often heightened by medical emergencies and ongoing health conditions. One of the university’s most recent and impactful drives took place on June 21, 2024, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS).

The Millennium Campus Network (MCN) and the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) are proud to present the Class of 2024, an ambitious program to help make the Sustainable Development Goals and UNAI principles a reality. Millennium Fellows were selected from a record-breaking 52,581 applicants to join the Class of 2024, hailing from 6,000+ universities worldwide. Catalysing Challenge-led Research to Support the SDGs: A Practical Framework from Monash University 
A challenge facing many universities and researchers is how to catalyse large-scale, multi-partner challenge-led, interdisciplinary research to address the SDGs.    In response to this challenge, has released a practical framework based on 15 years of experience which provides new guidance and strategies, drawing from an 18 month study of challenge-led, large scale research. The Framework seeks to strengthen systems, cultures and capabilities at a range of levels.

Kenya Prisons Andragogy and Pedagogy Project
Through this innovative project prisoners are being equipped with teaching skills to enable them to teach better and produce better grades in Kenyan maximum security prisons. Students from De Montfort University mark World Refugee Day
Students from marked World Refugee Day (20 June) by volunteering at a home supporting people who have experienced forced migration. The group were part of a delegation learning the principles of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16 during an intense week of activities in Berlin, Germany. DMU is the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) Hub for Sustainable Development Goal 16, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and runs an annual trip to Berlin to teach the importance of working to the targets and indicators of the goal.
