The 2016 United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Fellowship Program is now open for applications from emerging leaders and young professionals from Europe, North America (EUNA), the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Since 2010, the annual UNAOC Fellowship Program has been offering participants the opportunity to foster intercultural dialogue and interfaith understanding by providing first hand exposure to diversity and the chance to experience cultural immersion while interacting with a wide range of actors and partners from EUNA and MENA.

This year, the UNAOC Fellowship Program will focus on education as a tool to?prevent radicalization and xenophobia. Fifteen emerging leaders from EUNA and 15 from MENA will be invited to travel to the others' region for 10 days to meet and exchange ideas with key decision makers, grassroots organizations, media, local communities and religious groups.

Young people aged 18 to 38 who are nationals of EUNA or MENA countries can apply to the 2016 UNAOC Fellowship Program online at . ?Application deadline is Sunday, 26 June 2016. Candidates who are selected will be contacted by mid-August 2016.
