UNAI Hosts Panel Discussion on South-South Cooperation and the 缅北禁地Development System
2 May 2019 - International development cooperation has been experiencing critical changes with the entrance of rising powers, mostly from the Global South. The rise in the scale and scope of South-South Cooperation (SSC) has contributed to the urgent need to revisit development aid and aid effectiveness debates.
The rise of the Global South has also become visible at the United Nations. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda welcome the increased contribution of SSC and recognize its importance for collective efforts to address pressing sustainable development challenges.

In the United States, young people have been advocating for climate action before school strikes and the Green New Deal put them in the headlines.?A solution they've been supporting is carbon pricing—a policy mechanism that puts a price on carbon pollution and in some cases returns revenue to households.?The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R 763) introduced in January of 2019 is the fruit of that effort, legislation that if passed experts estimate would reduce U.S. emissions 40 percent in 12 years while providing income to households.

Public Health Casebook by Western University teaches essential skills through storytelling
The Master of Public Health Program (MPH) at Western University is a 12 month full-time program that incorporates a 12-week practicum. Western's MPH Program relies extensively on the case based/experiential method of learning. The Programme aims to deliver 60% of pedagogic material using the case-based approach – a unique feature not found in other MPH Programs worldwide.
